In 1992, one man in Worcester, Maine began sending wreaths to Arlington National Cemetery – 5,000 per year, donated from his own company.

In 2005, a photo of the wreaths spread across the internet. Soon, people from around the country began offering to help. In 2007 a charity was set up so donations could be processed.

The program grew nationwide, and by 2019, over 2,000,000 wreaths were placed at over 2,000 veterans cemeteries honoring veterans buried across the US, overseas, and at sea.

All of these wreaths are still sponsored by donations from businesses and private individuals. Wreaths Across America receives no government funding.

Honor

Those who serve.

You can sponsor in honor of a currently-serving service member, or the members of your military unit.

You can also help build a Fisher House in Lexington while sponsoring a wreath for Camp Nelson. Learn more HERE.

Teach

Your children the value of freedom.

Many of our volunteers are children or young people. Wreaths Across America is a great opportunity to teach young people about the value and cost of freedom.

We are growing every year.

In 2022, we covered 13,546 graves with a wreath

Our 2023 goal is to cover EVERY one of the 17,500 graves at Camp Nelson.

Help us reach that goal!

We really want to get to the 17,500 wreaths that it will take to cover every grave at Camp Nelson.

Can you help?

Help us honor EVERY veteran at Camp Nelson!

Every single person – from those who are fundraising or those who are sponsoring wreaths, to those unloading the truck or prepositioning the wreaths, to those placing a wreath or hosting a bake sale or saying a name out loud – everyone is part of this mission to Remember, Honor, Teach. Together we are all part of the Wreaths Across America family and no role is too small when it comes to honoring our veterans and their families.
